Friend of the 23 Foundation and real-life Superhero Jamie McDonald has smashed the world record for the longest distance covered on a treadmill.
Jamie spent seven days running 524 miles (842km) on a treadmill in his home city of Gloucester – pushing past the record by an extra 11 miles.
This was the equivalent of running 3 marathons a day for 7 days in a row so you can imagine the battles Jamie endured with his body and mind during the challenge. It was so bad that he renames the tread mill the ‘dread mill’.
Jamie is currently recovering, and has been taken into hospital to ensure he recovers quickly and properly. We all wish Jamie a speedy recovery.
Previous fundraising adventures undertaken by Jamie include riding from Bangkok to Gloucester, running across Canada solo, and just last month he finished an 11-month solo run across the USA.
This guy isn’t called Adventureman for nothing and when you find our how much money he has raised for charity you really will be impressed.

This weekend sees the 5th ‘Run For The 96’ 5K starting in Stanley Park at 9.30am.
With 2019 being the 30th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy it will be great to see the coming together of the reds and blues in Liverpool for a special cause.

Words cannot express what happened in Anfield on Tuesday night …. it was a truly incredible European football night …. one of the very best and we have had plenty of them to talk about.

Just two more games to go, and if we can beat Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur there is definitely one trophy coming back to Anfield this season … and possible two!
We are so proud to support and be associated to Liverpool FC and we look forward to seeing them lift the European Cup on June 1st in Madrid ….
Everybody here at the 23 Foundation would like to congratulate Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Arsenal on reaching their respective European cup finals this week.
It is incredible to see four English clubs playing in the European finals, something that has never happened before in European football history. It goes to show how strong the English league really is.
